I’m Lynold Mercado, founder of ND Horizon. I help service businesses in South Florida—and remote clients across the country—replace chaos with systems that are simple enough to actually follow.
Why I started ND Horizon
ND Horizon didn’t start as a business plan. It started with watching people I care about struggle.
Over the years I saw family and friends launch startups with real talent and real work ethic—and then watched the early stage grind them down. Not because their ideas were bad, but because of two patterns that showed up again and again.
They overcomplicated simple procedures: intake processes with five tools where one would do, approval chains for businesses of two people, systems built for the company they hoped to be in ten years instead of the one in front of them. And they spent money in the wrong places: software they didn’t need, marketing before their offer was clear, expenses that felt like progress but didn’t move the business forward—while the things that actually drive growth went unfunded.
The frustrating part was how fixable it all was. Most of what they needed wasn’t more money or more tools. It was clarity: a simpler process, a clear priority, and someone to say “you don’t need that yet—put it here instead.”
That’s what ND Horizon does. Complex Ideas. Simple Solutions. isn’t a slogan I picked because it sounded good. It’s the exact thing I found myself doing for the people around me, long before it had a company name attached.
How I work
I’m not interested in delivering a thick report and disappearing. Every engagement follows the same practical flow: diagnose what’s actually holding the business back, design the simplest fix that works, and activate it alongside you until it runs on its own.
If your team can’t follow it, it’s not a system—it’s a document.
Early-stage money should go where growth actually comes from, not where it looks like progress.
Plans matter, but the difference is made in the follow-through.
If something doesn’t need fixing—or I’m not the right person to fix it—I’ll tell you.
Who I work with
ND Horizon focuses on service businesses that run on trust, communication, and client experience: healthcare and recovery centers, transportation and security companies, document preparation services, and local service businesses across Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. I work in person across South Florida and remotely with clients nationwide.
Outside the work
Based in Coral Springs, Florida. When I’m not inside someone’s workflow, I’m usually studying how good businesses run—the systems, tools, and habits that let small teams punch above their weight—so my clients don’t have to do that homework themselves.
